Active Seat
The optional Active Seat provides additional support when sitting down and standing up, making transfers easier for users who may have difficulty rising from a conventional seated position.
Turn & Go
For narrow staircases or users with limited knee flexion, Turn & Go allows the seat to travel in a rotated position, helping reduce the space required for the user’s knees.
Powered Swivel Seat
The powered swivel can automatically turn the seat at the landing, reducing the effort required when getting on or off. Depending on the staircase and configuration, one-way or two-way powered swivel operation is available.
Powered & Illuminated Footrest
The powered footrest folds and unfolds automatically, removing the need to bend down. Built-in illumination also helps make the footrest easier to see when getting on and off the lift.
Space-Saving Drop Nose

CUSTOM-MADE SINGLE RAIL
Designed Around Your Staircase
Every Handicare Freecurve is custom-made for the staircase where it will be installed. Its compact single-rail system is individually designed to follow the bends, turns and landings of your stairs while making efficient use of the available space.
This allows us to consider not only how the lift travels, but where the rail starts, finishes and parks when the stair lift isn’t being used.
Made to Measure
After the Freecurve has been selected, we complete a detailed staircase survey. The measurements are used to design and manufacture a rail specifically for your staircase and home.
Space-Saving Drop Nose
At the bottom of the staircase, the Freecurve can be designed with a tight drop-nose rail that curves back toward the stairs. This can significantly reduce how far the rail extends into a hallway or doorway compared with many traditional curved twin-rail designs.
Hinged Rail Option
Where even more clearance is required, an optional hinged rail can allow the lower section of the track to be folded away when the stair lift isn’t in use. This can be particularly useful where the rail would otherwise obstruct a doorway or walkway.
Flexible Parking Options
